Grants

North Steyne SLSC actively pursues grant funding to improve its facilities, obtain much needed life saving equipment, and run special programs. Grants are often available through Local, State and Federal Government departments, as well as private sector organisations.

As a charity and a community-based service organisation, North Steyne SLSC is eligible for a wide variety of both commercial and government grants.  All members are strongly encouraged to draw attention to any grants of which they may be aware--whether through work, other activities, or incidentally--by contacting North Steyne SLSC's Grants Officer.  The current appointed Grants Officer is Christine Gibbs Stewart.  Please direct any grant enquiries or information to North Steyne SLSC at admin@northsteyneslsc.com.au.  Members who have a connection to a grant are also encouraged to lead an application for grant funding; North Steyne SLSC will always be able to provide information and support to any such proposal.

Over the past 12 months, North Steyne SLSC has received the following grants:

  • Manly Council – purchase of a laptop for administration and training purposes;
  • NSW Government Community Building Partnership Program – for building improvements, specifically the Club and Patrol rooms;
  • Sport & Recreation Division of Communities NSW – Engaging Diverse Communities in our Beaches program.
  • North Steyne SLSC would like to thank Mike Baird, MP for his support in obtaining some of the above grants.
