COMPETITION NEWS
IMPORTANT: To compete in 2010 you must have paid your club fees, be proficient & completed 25 patrol hours by 31 Dec 2009. To check your hours please email me on rehumhrey@bigpond.com
Variation to patrol hours & other competition requirements are in the 2009/10 Competition Manual which is found on the North Steyne website Aussies
All those who require accommodation at Kurrawa for the Aussie SLS Championships in March 2010 should have paid their $100 online via NS website and notified me for inclusion by now, if you haven't done this please do so ASAP.
Training during Dec/January
Beach - sprint training with Clayton concluded for the Christmas break on Wednesday 9th Dec and will resume Wednesday 6th January
Water - Riddo finishes Monday 14th Dec and resumes Saturday 2nd January.
Dee Why will be hosting Round 1 of the First aid Competition on Saturday 19th December.
U15s and U17s report time at 3pm for a 3.30pm start at the surf club
U19s and Opens report time is 4.30pm for a 5pm start

The Epic Kayaks 20 Beaches Ocean Classic
Online entries close at midnight on Wednesday 16th December, 2009. Entries will be accepted on the day but incur a $10 surcharge so please try to save some time and money and register online. Registration is between 11am and 12.20pm sharp with the race starting at 1pm from either Palm Beach or Manly according to the wind conditions. Race direction will be decided by the Friday night and will be posted on the website. www.oceanseries.com.au.

A brief meeting will be held to supply information to and gather names of all those who wish to attend the National Surf Lifesaving Championships at Kurrawa (Gold Coast) in March 2010.
This meeting is a must for those who wish to be included in club booked accommodation for Nationals as these number have to be finalised in early December & there is limited space, please note a down payment of $50 will be required at this meeting to secure a spot.
At this meeting there will also be a brief rundown of requirements for the rest of the competition season, so if you cannot make this meeting but are part of a team it would be appreciated if one representative from your team attends.
Special invitation is made to parents of cadets & U14's who wish to attend senior carnivals so you know what is required .
