The Club Captain is accountable to the Board of Directors for the behavior and performance of patrols. The Captain is Convener of the Lifesaving Panel and coordinates all volunteer patrols, rescue services, emergency care, and after-hours search-and-rescue at North Steyne.
Vice Captain

The Vice Captain is responsible for patrol members’ level of competency during the season, and also the attendance and timeliness of patrols. The Vice Captain is the best point of contact for proficiency information, to report patrol breaches, and for Patrol Captain substitutes.

The Captain’s Assistant handles a great deal of behind-the-scenes work in order to ensure patrols and patrol gear is maintained at operational readiness. As an experienced lifesaver, the Assistant is a valuable contact for advice on patrols, and about Club activities generally.

The Patrols Coordinator is responsible for producing and updating the Patrol Roster. A new version of the roster, containing new members, updated contact details, etc, is available [link to ‘Roster’ page] from the website each month. Any change in patrol member contact details should be communicated to the Patrols Coordinator.
IRB Captain
